Note:
A series of stories told by colleagues, former students and relatives are collected in a biography of the great Rosh Yeshivah of Torah VaDaath (Brooklyn, New York). This volume was created for younger readers from the author’s book for adults (Rav Pam: the Life and Ideals of Rabbi Avrohom Yaakov HaKohen Pam (Mesorah Publications, 2003)). The short entries describe Rabbi Pam’s life from his birth in 1913 Poland, through his tenure at the Yeshivah, to his death in 2001, and the influence he had on everyone whose life he touched. The book is filled with photographs of the Rav. There is no glossary or index, and Hebrew and Yiddish words are followed by translation in parentheses.
