Note:
This story of "mystery and friendship" is set in a guesthouse where a sick boy has gone with his mother to recover from pneumonia. He befriends a prickly boy named Baruch, the cleaning woman's son, who is always being accused of crimes he didn't commit. When the mysterious Mr. Zichroni appears, his goal is to help Baruch see the value of staying in school and then studying in a yeshivah. The message is that studying Torah is the answer to a good life. With no English translation of the many Hebrew terms used in the story, it is mainly for observant readers, especially boys.
