Jewish Values: Wicked City, The

A classic tale of good and evil, expanded from the biblical account of the destruction of Sodom and Gemorrah. Fisher's strong scratch board illustrations leave no doubt as to who is wicked and who is good - the faces reveal all. Lot and his family are the human counterparts to a city known for its cruelty. Abraham is a less compelling figure but that is because the focus of the story - both narrative and pictures - is on wickedness and its punishment. There is a depiction of God on the first page, which will make the book inappropriate for many Jewish libraries and families.
