Note:
A collection of short anecdotes that illustrate morality lessons. The story is held together by a frame in which three young Orthodox Jewish girls visit their neighbor, Mrs. Honig, to share her baking and her stories. At the beginning of each chapter, the girls relate a problem they have encountered and Mrs. Honig tells them a story that offers a moral solution to their problem, plus giving them each a piece of cake. The problems presented seem more relative to a sheltered community of fifty years ago than the present and the style also is dated. Set in a girls' Beit Midrash, this will appeal primarily to Orthodox girls.
