Note:
In what is now the simplest book about Israel in print, a little boy is the guide, taking readers from Ben Gurion Airport to Jerusalem and the Old City, to a kibbutz, and then for a camel ride in Beersheva, a jeep ride through the dessert, to Eilat and a glass-bottomed boat, up the side of the mountain in a cable car to Masada, to the Dead Sea for a float, and then back to Jerusalem to the Kotel. Each site occupies a page with just one line of text and a bright, cheerful picture that shows young children what Israel looks like. Although very cursory, it is the right length and format for preschoolers.
