Note:
A marginally acceptable story about the mitzvah of hachnasos orchim, welcoming guests. It tells in an awkward, sometimes rhyming narrative, of how Sarah, a child of indeterminate age, comes to realize that having guests for Shabbat is fun. The illustrations are so pedestrian and the plot so undeveloped that it is hard to figure out the characters' ages: are they children or grown-ups? In addition, the pictures are sugary-sweet, depicting characters with huge eyes, great mops of bright curls, dresses with puffed sleeves and doll-like faces. This comes across as a lesson but not as literature.
