Note:
This true story unites decency across time, space, and nationality to honor the memory of a child who died in the Holocaust. Hana Brady perished at Auschwitz but a suitcase with her name on it became the centerpiece of a small Holocaust museum in Japan. Motivated by the questions of children who visited the museum, the intrepid museum director searched until she found not only some of Hana Brady's artwork but also her brother, George, who had survived and lived in Canada. This is based on a Canadian Broadcasting radio program produced by the author and it is published in the United States by Albert Whitman Company (2003). An audio CD of the radio show is available from the American publisher.
